While I have whole lists on this site of website resources for teachers, parents, and kids, there are also things you may not have thought to ask Google to do in your math classroom…..

Ask for practice problems– For instance, if you type “addition practice problems” on Google, you will get a number of multiple choice questions. You can submit your answer and you will be notified immediately if you’re wrong or right.

Solve a math problem step by step— For this, all you have to do is type the math problem in the Search button. Or, you can use Google Lens and hover it over the math problem in your book or copy. Once Google captures the problem, you will get a series of steps that you can follow to solve the problem.

Use Google’s unit converter for inches to centimeters, Kilograms to pounds, Celsius to Fahrenheit,  whatever you need.

Things to ask Google Home

  • Flip a coin
  • Roll a die (or any number of dice up to 100)
  • Roll a twenty sided die.
  • Pick a number
  • Set a timer
  • What day of the week does December 3, 2022 fall on?
  • What will the date be 30 days from now?
  • How many days has it been since January 1?
